Session Description

Session 3: Shared Understanding: Climate and Environmental Justice in Hampton Roads

Chair(s): Barry Clemson.

The goal is to check our reality as it relates to climate and environmental justice today and tomorrow in our area. Reality Check: Environmental and Climate Justice in HR today and tomorrow. One characteristics of wicked problems is that stakeholders don't have a shared understanding of the current situation and a shared understanding of what the problem/challenge actually is. That is why the first step in any Participatory Modeling (PM) is to check what the perception of our reality is between the different participants.

We will work in a few small groups of three or four, each drawing sketches illustrating our view on climate and environmental justice in HR.
